Ever wished you could build a girlfriend down to the exact look and then get photos of her that actually match? Friend, that is DreamGF. The character builder is one of the most detailed around, and the image generation is the reason people stay. Chat and voice are there too, but the visuals are where it shines. Here’s my honest DreamGF review, and if you want to shop around, compare it with our best AI roleplay chat list.

DreamGF review: what makes it fun

It is a web-based AI girlfriend platform. You design a companion from a deep set of options, body, face, hair, style and personality, or pick an existing one. Then you chat, request photos, and use voice messages or calls on paid plans. Images can be realistic, anime or somewhere in-between, and NSFW opens up once you are paid.

• Deep character builder: the main event, and genuinely fun to play with.
• Photos in chat or through the generator, in realistic or anime style.
• Voice messages and calls on Premium.
• Unlimited messages for paying members.
• Runs in the browser; there is no official mobile app.

What it costs you (checked October 2026)

Here is the bit that surprised me, and not in a good way: the intro prices are lovely, then the plan renews at full price. Read the second number, not just the first.

Token costs run about 10 tokens an image, 3 a voice message, 7 a minute for voice calls and 20 to generate a new companion. So 150 tokens is roughly fifteen pictures. Refunds are ruled out except where consumer law requires them. The homepage FAQ still lists old Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond tiers that no longer match.

Which plan should you grab?

Do the renewal maths before you click. Monthly is $12.99 a month (list $25.98). The 3-month plan is $23.97 a quarter, which is $7.99 a month (list $47.94). The annual plan is the cheapest way in at $44.28 a year, just $3.69 a month (list $88.56). These are first-subscription offers of up to 75% off. My honest advice: if you are testing, take the first month and set a reminder a few days before it renews. If you already know you love it, the annual intro price is excellent value for year one, as long as you decide before the renewal lands. Either way, budget for a token pack or two if pictures are your main reason for being here.

How to dive in

Sign up and build your girl in the free tier first; the builder is free to explore, so take your time with it. When the look is right, go Premium if the photos are what you want. The discount applies to your first subscription, then the regular price applies. Request pictures in chat once the conversation has a scene going. And watch the tokens: 150 a month goes fast if you generate a lot, so save them for the shots you will keep.

What I loved and what bugged me

So, who’s this actually for?

You, if the look and the photos matter more than anything else and you love dialling in a very specific girl. Chat and voice are a nice bonus. Want the same builder idea for a boyfriend? That is DreamBF. Want chat to be the main event? Try Candy.ai.

The catches

• Set a reminder before renewal if you only want the intro period.
• Images are token-limited.
• No official mobile app.
• No refunds except where the law requires.
• Old tier names on the homepage can confuse.

Not quite your vibe? Try these

• Candy.ai: custom-build your girlfriend’s looks, voice and personality, then chat and swap pictures.
• HoneyPot: AI girlfriend chat with memory and photorealistic pictures, where Premium unlocks nudes and short clips.
• DarLink: an AI girlfriend and image generator in one app, with generated pictures landing in your chat.
• DreamBF: design your own AI boyfriend, then chat, request photos and use voice.
